Trixie Koontz (1995-2007) was the beloved golden retriever of bestselling author Dean Koontz, and his wife Gerda. She is the co-author (with Dean) of two other books, Life is Good, and Christmas is Good. A former Canine Companions for Independence service dog, she passed away in 2007.
